Insurance 4-Point Inspection
This inspection is required in the State of Florida by most insurance companies who want to know the condition of older homes, especially in the following 4 areas:
- Roof – Inspection survey and analysis of the trusses, roof deck and general age and condition of the roof covering.
- Electrical System – Inspection survey and analysis of the main electrical Components of the home including the main panel, type of service, amperage rating as well as the approximate year any upgrades were made.
- HVAC System – Inspection survey and analysis of the heating and air-conditioning system including the type, brand, age of associated equipment and ducting.
- Plumbing System – Inspection survey and analysis of the plumbing system, type of service, materials used, upgrades and age as well as the functionality of the system.

This inspection is for the protection of the property owner as well as the insurance provider in that if any of the above mentioned systems or components fail as a result of poor condition, lack of updates, or improper installation the home may be subjected to fire or water inundation.
